Are you even paying attention? This was an Iowa vote removing judges they saw as "activists". It was the judges legislating from the bench, the ultimate imposition of beliefs in our system of government. The people of Iowa didn't want the activist judges imposing their beliefs. Period. They voted, they spoke.

I am against gay marriage. Why? It's just not the way life was and is inteded to be, gay couples can't reproduce, you people who are all for gay marriage should move somewhere that allows it, dont knock others for not believing in it and dont force you views or wants which are obviously in the minority onto the majority, if we all wanted it, we would have it.

Threatened isn't the right word, but be assured that the difference between conservative and liberal same-sex couples is that the conservative ones don't think the rest of us owe them anything.

Come to think of it, that's something of a threat isn't it?

Who are you calling dense? Isn't that against forum policy?

It's stupid.

Anyone who opposes gay americans having equal rights, are stupid.

Sorry that the "happy white Christian America" isn't turning out the way you all planned.
The same old attack. If someone doesn't agree with you, they are stupid. Do YOU know how STUPID that makes you look?

Judges are supposed to interpret the state's laws.

Gay marriage is still legal in Iowa.

The judges' ouster was the result of a campaign funded by anti-gay organizations who don't believe in the law when it doesn't suit their agenda.

I find it amusing that some people feel so threatened by gays. It speaks volumes about who they are. They're insecure, hateful, bitter, cynical, and selfish.

No proof that it's holy, just your say so?
As far as I can see, some people are blinded by their hatred.

I call them hateros.

No one feels threatened by gays.

Courts that assume legislative powers are an entirely different matter.
