Would you allow your children to be in a car of someone who you know talks on they're cell phone while driving...

the other night, I saw a woman driving her van full of kids, probably home from some game, and she was on a cell phone, and could hardly turn the corner while talking on the cell....sheeesh, I swear they should arrest these people. And putting a child's life in danger like that?

NO! I don't care what anyone says, taliking on a cell phone distracts you.

Is it any more distracting than talking to a passanger? Or especially a car full of kids?

It's insignificant if it is more distracting. It is an additional avoidable distraction. To be honest I won't ride in a car with someone that talks on a cell, or uses a remote control to change CDs (makes no sense why you have a remote in a car).
I enjoy riding my Motorcycle I have so many people that I have to pay attention to and so many people that don't hear my loud pipes (also can't figure that out) that I don't need them adding distractions.
Although I am not a proponent for cell phone driving laws it is not something that I care to subject myself or my charges to the additional problems

yes, it is, some people can't drive and talk on the phone at the same time, and I've seen it countless times....and apparently you think it's ok to do...and your children will to, b/c you do it in front of them...so when they turn 16, they'll think its ok to do.

I tell you true, all it takes is one time, and anyone who drives and talks on the cell phone with someone else's kids in the car should be repromanded severely....

I think we oughta have a new forum for those who seem to love the Nanny State and want government to protect them from every little thing.

That way, the cell-phone freaks, smoke-Nazi's, health-nuts and other assorted timid souls who are afraid to step outside without government holding their hand could commiserate with one another without bothering we regular folks who aren't afraid of everything.

What difference does it make if the passengers are minors or adults? Is one more deserving of a safe car ride than another?
