US military lost track of 50 intercontinental ballistic missiles recently. The incident became public after a former Air Force officer tweeted about the loss of communication between the missiles and the control center.

They lost communications (speaking computer talk here) with 50 ICBM's IS NOT the same thing as they lost 50 ICBMs. This is a lot of nothing.
True, but what if they lost communications with them while they were traveling through the air trying to reach their target? Woops, we were trying to bomb Moscow, but we lost communications and it landed on Miami instead.. No big deal!
It won't matter, the Tea baggers will be doing away with the Air Force, it's not in the Constitution
last I checked, public defense is in the Constitution. Stop with the bashing tea partiers already.. Jees.. we got it.. you dont like them.. waaa.. waaa.. but when you have to lie, you lose any credibility you have...

ICBM's don't travel unless you fire them off. They are in silos. Communications dropping - at worst - meant that you had to manually launch them, if the code was issued. Visual continuity is kept by Security Police that are located at each and every silo (in pairs). This is communicated via walkie-talkie - if need be. Again, no issue here.

They are still tracked as they go through the air..
Thats how they divert them into the ocean if they change their mind during the hours it takes to reach their target.
I'm not at all concerned about it, but loosing communication with them is a big deal, even if they are sitting in a silo. How about if we lose communications with AF1 while its traveling? no, no big deal, everyone knows where it is because we have fighter jets there.. WRONG.. its an indication that there is a flaw in the system that needs fixed..
You can ridicule the story but the issue if true, is a very big deal!!

What wild drug must you be on to consider the story real?
