So,welfare farm subsidies are perfectly fine as long as they line one's own pockets. It just the welfare to indigent people that's the real problem.
Making huge cuts to SS is one of her more brilliants ideas, although she cannot articulate what could replace it. (Hands off the welfare farms, though!)
Shouldn't that be: "History of a Tea Party Queen"? Where did you study English?
As for your story. Non-issue. Farmers get subsidies. I believe Democrats started the Farm subsidy programs.
Do Fox and Rush really tell you Obama doesn't try to work across the aisle? You can escape to real world facts: google "obama bipartisan". Here's what he has to deal with meanwhile.
[In January] the U.S. Senate blocked a bill to set up a bipartisan deficit-cutting commission, co-sponsored by Sen. Judd Gregg, R-N.H., and supported by Obama.
"This bill failed by seven votes when seven Republicans who had co-sponsored the bill suddenly walked away from their own proposal -- after I endorsed it!" he said.
"I turn around," he said. "They're gone! What happened?
"You can't walk away from your responsibilities to confront the long-term challenges facing the country because you don't think it's good short-term politics," Obama said to applause.
You might want to mention that this bipartisan effort failed because, although 16 Republicans voted in favor of it...22 Democrats voted against it. So if the bill failed by seven votes..well, you do the math.
As for your story. Non-issue. Farmers get subsidies. I believe Democrats started the Farm subsidy programs.
You are missing the point the {R}s say they are for the free market and against gvt intrusion. If they were consistent which they are not they would never vote for subsidies or take them. Is it consistent to vote for a farm subsidy then rail against subsidies for clean energy? Or lets bail out the banksters who we like but not those for auto companies who have unions who we do not like?
Just think the leaders of the so called conservative movement {McConnell,Boner} both voted for the farm bill and the bail out. Face it the {R} party is full of closet Marxist {redistribution of wealth } and have no morale ground to point the finger and screech socialist.

Yes, quote correct. As is typical with you folks, you can't go more than a couple of posts without slinging around personal insults. You're in for a real treat then, because I admit I tend to make a lot of grammatical errors. In answer to your sarcastic question, I studied English and English Literature at the State University of New York.
You're missing the point. The story is not a "non-issue." Who cares who started the farm subsidy programs? Farmers get subsidies, but then do they all run for public office decrying the socialization of America, when they are some of the largest partakers of that alleged socialism?
Again, the point is the hypocrisy of a candidate slamming others when they themselves have pocketed extraordinary amounts of cash behind closed doors (as in her not admitting it openly), but yet call foul on the very politicians who enabled her to get that free cash.

YOU are the one deflecting from the FACTS.
If her constituents are happy with her "I got mine, screw everybody else" attitude that's their problem.
I will never understand the NeoConfused mind-set of thinking it a noble thing to build a hospital for the Iraqis at US taxpayer expense* while running in terror screaming SOCIALISM! at the mere suggestion of buying a Band-Aid for an American.
* The truly asinine thing is many of these same people will happily tell you all Muslims are bad (you know, like the Iraqis we fight and die for?) and should be eliminmated from the face of the earth.

Well, I never mentioned neocons, I mentioned the NeoConfused. Have problems with reading comprehension do ya?
And no, I'm not bigoted, I'm disgusted with people who are so confused they're fine with building a hospital for Iraqis at US taxpayer expense while they go screaming SOCIALISM! in terror at the mere mention of buying a Band-Aid for an American.

No, let's examine the hypocrisy of Michelle Bachmann, the topic of this thread.
