Notwithstanding its economic and political problems, more Americans would like to live in California than in any other state. For the seventh time in a row since 2002 California tops the list of states where the most people would like to live if they did not live in their own states.
Notably, Texas fell from 4th to 8th place. I'm often lectured by conservatives on this forum that California should be more like Texas. If Texas is so great, why is it #8 on the list?

LOL, of course California has natural beauty. It is equally true that it is an economic basket case. California would do well to be more like Texas economically. It is possible for both things to be true at the asme time.
California is nice, I'll be out there in december enjoying the weather.
Biggest problem with Cali is the people who live there, they seem to be arrogant and obnoxious...
Get rid of the illegal aliens and anti-American/anti-military leftist and I'd consider visiting California. Until then, it's on my list of places to avoid which includes Mexico, France, and all muslim nations.
California named as the state where the most Americans would like to live
Do the respondents give reasons why or under what conditions?
Weather? Natural Beauty? Great politicans? Sanctuary cities? Low taxes? Business friendly for job and tax revenue growth? Safe urban areas? Great public school systems in the lower and middle income areas?
Aren't many people leaving CA just to get out? What's up with that?
The Devil's in the details.
