Liberal groups had taken on Olbermann's suspension as a cause. An online petition calling for his reinstatement, run by the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, had exceeded 250,000 signatures Sunday, and Michael Moore had tweeted his support. MSNBC: Keith Olbermann Suspension Ends Tuesday
LOL
of course he is back
not even a slap on the hand for this
oh, well I do not watch the hacks on MSNBC
let them rant on!
funny how folks scream about Fox News and then cheer for these clowns
what would have happened if this had been O'Rilley??
LOL
I bet his supporters, all 200K of them, will be waiting with bated breath to hook in on Tuesday to the windbag claim righteous indignation and tell us how courageous he is.
Too bad an anti-America idiot like that even has a job on the air at all. The fact they are allowing him back on at all will make me think even less of the More Socialistic Nutjob Bs Company.
anti-America????? I really would love to hear you expound on that.
If Comcast was involved in Olberman's suspension, the question is 'why?'.
The logical answer is that Comcast now has a vested interest in improving the brand of MSNBC. With a miniscule audience, a hard left reputation, and virtually no recognition as a legitimate 'news' outlet, Comcast is making to first moves to improve the MSNBC brand.
The appalling election night coverage, widely derided as flat-out unprofessional (quite frankly-embarrassing) was the impetus needed to strike quickly. Personally, I think they chose a poor target. Olberman's donations are peanuts compared to Matthew's performance on election night.
Let's face it-MSNBC is the weakest player in the cable news game. So, there are two options-get rid of it entirely, or improve it to the point where it's no longer a sad joke.

Petition has over 310,000, of which I am one, on it now. I'm sure that was taken account as he was brought back rather quickly from a suspension originally termed "indefinite"..
I wonder how many Faux News personalities would have been rallied around that quickly by so many people.

MSNBC is like "college radio" for adults. It is not ready for prime time.
The problem MSLSD has is that it talks too often about Fox News. Did you Rachel Maddow complaining about Olbermann being suspended? She must have mentioned Fox News about every two seconds.
How often do you see hosts on Fox News comparing themselves to other networks? Rarely do you see the diatribes that MSLSD people go on. Even CNN does not attack Fox as much as MSLSD.
MSLSD needs to stop blaming Fox for their own failures and take responsibility for their own actions. As soon as they can stop blaming Fox, things just might improve a bit.

Actually, CNN is the "weakest player in the cable news game" as MSNBC beats them consistently now.
