I would NEVER attribute racism to everyone in the Tea Party. That's ridiculous.
However, i most certainly don't think that i'd get the time of day from about half of 'em. Just my opinion.
So, you're black. But do you realize there are a lot of black people involved in the Tea Party movement? So, that kind of takes the wind out of your sales.

No there are not a lot of black people in the Tea Party movement. In fact there are not a lot of white people in the Tea Party. There are a lot of racists along with people like Allen West who is a veteran and has more to do with being on the government dole than being a Tea Partier. Find a Tea Partier and you will find someone on the government dole.
I just think that when the history of the FIRST black President is written, much of the opposition to President Obama will be seen as being motivated by racism.
I think history will judge President Obama a slight center left/moderate politician, who pursued middle of the road policies in most instances, and who was imagined as a raving radical by much of his opposition.
Now the source of this mischaracterization of President Obama will be of some debate, but there will be no doubt or question that much of the it will be understood to be racism.
In this author's article giving a lying Harvard academic huckster a royal "what for", he dissects the by now tired use of disqualification: The lazy Left's cheap and tawdry tactic of pointing their crooked little fingers at an opponent they know they cant beat with logic or reason and hollering Racist!!!!
All takes is a Google search. All TP members aren't racists but some are. The TP consists of many groups and some are racist, some aren't. Some of the people in some of those groups are racist, some aren't. The reason that they are associated with being racist is because when one of those individuals in one of those groups makes a racial remark, the others remain silent. silence gives consent. If they don't want to be seen this way, they probably shouldn't stand with people who hold racist signs or act like it didn't happen when one makes a racist remarks.
