No he shouldn't. For 1 there are no living slave masters, and no living slaves remaining.
For another many US citizens today had no relatives who owned slaves. More than that many had relatives who fought to free the slaves and died in the fight. Do we also make them pay as well?

What are you trying to say here? Pretty racist and insulting.....
Melanin would be extremely insulted at your black and white picture since you didn't include any grays.

No. Next question.

yes.... because we as a country like to lump others with their past; but enough wwith slavery what about damages that happened after slavery

also there are institutions and corporations who benefitted from slavery which are still standing today and the white house is one of them

What if you're biracial? Would Obama have to pay reparations to himself?

I think it's safe to say we're all bi-racial.

I agree xcept it is not the Presidents responsibility. He is the president of all Americans and to take a race agenda would be wrong.
This issue is beyond the President. Not because its not a worthy cause but because he has to be the president for all the people no matter what race.
I disagree with President Obama on allot but this issue he has handled exactly right. He sat and spoke with people that had this issue as an agenda and while I was not in the room I think he told them keep it legal and keep it active but its a issue that a A president for all the people can't address.
Something we all should realize is that just because something is not in the news dose not mean that it was ignored.
