The hypocrite Republicans of course.

http://buylikebuffett.com/index.php/...ollar-deficit/

"Look at the results of the last few presidents. It has not mattered if the President was a Republican or a Democrat. They all added to the deficit. The irony is that Republican presidents have actually reigned over the largest deficit increases."

The author does not even know the difference between debt and deficit.

"If we are finally serious about eliminating our $13.728 trillion dollar deficit, here are 3 things that we can do."

Lawd if we had a $13.7 trillion deficit we really would be screwed!

And of course this gem:

"In the short term, we can start by balancing the budget and not adding one cent more to the long term deficit."

Spending bills originate in the House.

Reagan from 81-89, full Democrat control of House 8 years of his presidency.

Bush 1 89-93, full Democrat contol of House 4 years of his presidency.

Clinton 93-01, Democrat control for the first 2 years and Republican control for the remaining 6.

Bush 2 01-09, first 6 years Republican control, Democrats last 2 years.

-------

To suggest the Republican's are the big spenders is no where near accurate.

Thanks for playing OP.. and displaying how little america knows about how our nation actually spends money..

even if the claim was true:

Republicans are far less inclined to waste taxpayer funds on social engineering experiments, expanding Government, and government Unions, redistribution of wealth initatives, creation of hurdles to free enterprise, and an endless parade of 'programs' designed to promote dependence on Uncle Sam....

Both Bushes and Reagan far outspent their Democratic counterparts. In fact, you'll notice the only time Repubs worry about spending is under a Democratic President, and that is pure politics.

Inheriting a federal budget in the black and CBO forecast for a $5.6 trillion surplus over 10 years, President George W. Bush quickly set about dismantling the progress made under Clinton. Bush's $1.4 trillion tax cut in 2001, followed by a second round in 2003, accounted for the bulk of the yawning budget deficits he produced.
