My point was he lowered taxes and increased spending.

Doing that doesn't make much sense. Wouldn't you agree? I mean if I'm going to spend more money I'm not going to ask my boss for a pay cut.

Nothing wrong with lowering taxes. It helps the economy and increases government revenue.

You do realize that Congress has more control over the budget and spending than the president does?

How so?

Our economy went into the tank after his tax cuts.

I agree. Congress should've had the gall to tell Bush to go play with himself when he wanted to invade Iraq.

Correct. No backbone in any of them.

More people care about how things will effect their political careers rather than whats best for the country. That is what's wrong with politics. And that is whats wrong with democrats especially. Every time the Republicans move farther to the right and tear us a new one the dem's just let them do it. I guess somehow they think one day they can sway that illiterate right-wing extremist living on some compound somewhere.

While on the other side when Dem's try and do something that will make life a little more slightly uncomfortable for the rich the Republicans fight tooth and nail to defend them. I wish someone fought as hard for me as the Republicans do for the rich.

The Iraq's wouldn't do it, so Bush had to. Do it, that is!
