So what is that supposed to mean- we find the worst things that the worst criminals in the world do and use them as a standard of comparison??? Of course what the terrorists do is horrible, but it doesn't mean we should be allowed to do bad things as well! We hold ourselves up as the "good guys", as the example to which other nations in the world are to be compared- so we need to practice what we preach in regards to human rights. Otherwise, if we decide it's OK to torture these people, then we have no right whatsoever to complain if any other countries (such as China) start doing those kinds of things to people.

And no, Obama is not doing it now- orders went out long ago to cease all of those types of activities.

Have you ever heard of rendition? I doubt you have. Obama is practicing that as we speak. So.... WE may not be doing these techniques here, but Obama ok'd it to have them shipped to countries where they CAN use those techniques. Obama is playing you. He's telling you one thing, while doing the exact opposite behind your back and you people just keep on trusting him and believe his every word.

That's coming next from the Left. They will say that locking up violent people in cells is torture and they will try to get it outlawed.

Why would you be impressed by anyone in Government stating they will investigate anything? Either Democrat, Republican, Tea Party, Green Party blah blah blah... the result will be the same, nothing. That was a blowhard comment aimed toward his constituency.

A Republican calling for an investigation of the former administration at this point in time is rather, well, shocking to be honest.

In the same vein as above, a Republican isn't likely to have a large constituency pushing him for an investigation of the Bush White House. Perhaps this man sees what happened as an affront to his religious values or personal values or whatever. I suspect if he were just pontificating, he would direct it towards the Obama White House and what is taking place at Bagram AFB.

As hard as it might be to imagine, especially this day in age, there are those who feel torture, "enhanced interrogation", or whatever you wish to call it as inhumane. In this case however, expect to see Democrats resist this at least as much as Republicans. Just a hunch.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice are proven liars, yet "you people" believed
them as they played the people, plus just kept on trusting them and believing anything they said. Hmmm.
TBS, nothing will happen. The true criminals always go free. As Lord Acton said,
"If treason doth not prosper, what's the reason? Why, if it prosper, none dare call it treason."
