I don't give a flip about how much money Michael Dell and Bill Gates have. And could care less how they spend it.

Why are so many envious?
Why do some folks completely miss an issue and instead swallow Limbaugh talking points whole and then repeat them as if they had a clue?

Because some make bad choices with their money and then claim that the rich should give them more.

Ah Rggr, if life were so very simple.
Believe me, it's not ONLY bad choices that make people 'poor'.

The things that I have heard, seen & experienced recently are pretty scary. It seems to me the 'new' group of folks to demonize are the 'poor'.

Don't be fooled into thinking the BAD guys who have helped bring our economy to it's knees, have ANYTHING to do with the poor. The poor didn't have anything to do with the creation of America's current problems. Not one single bit. Do Not believe that if all aid were stopped to the "poor" it would even make a dent in our deficits.

Somehow we are all guilty of allowing those we elect to office to run this country anyway They want. THEY have forgotten THEY work for us & we have been so fooled by them, many of us have forgotten it also.

That's not what I was saying. The question I responded to was this:
"Why are people with money so concered about poor people and what they do with their money?"

I said that some of the poor make bad choices and then want more from those with money. I didn't say all of the poor ask for more from others. I never linked the poor to the deficits or to the current economy. I simply said some make bad choices and then ask for more.

Oh OK, I stand corrected. I will agree that some people make bad choices & unfortunately some who collect public benifits will cheat but, I do believe there are rich who cheat also.
I personally am not envious of rich people. I am not rich & will never be rich. Who cares? I see reality TV & some rich people don't have a clue. I would never want to be like some of them.
After watching some of those rich, I realize I am wealthy.

No question about it.

Not rich here either. I have seen some pretty unhappy rich people (of course some happy as well) which leads to your next point of money not being everything.

Exactly. If the rich person got rich in an honest way and not through fraud, scams, or some other criminal/illegal activity, then I have no problem with them or their wealth or what they do with it.

Your questions contains a statement, which might not really be a fact. I don't think people who have enough resources to lead decent lives envy rich people, there is simply no reason to.
But people who work their backs off without getting rewarded the way they think they should, naturally look at rich people and wonder why those have it so much better without deserving it more than they do.
It is a matter of justice rather than envy.

What ???? What does Limbaugh have to do with this topic? Are you envious of Limbaugh's money?
