at what point do these people realize THEY HAVE NO MONEY???
When the checks stop coming. Californians booted Gov. Gray Davis when he tried to make the cuts. It would have been better to address this back then than now.
Well, they're paying $40 MILLION a day for people not to work, they've chased out business with their draconian taxes and regulations, they've created a mass exodus of people moving to tax-friendlier states...........let's just leave it to the dems...if the voters want to keep those in power who created the mess they're in right now, then they get what they deserve.
Why does everyone recognize that $25 billion is a lot of money for a huge state's annual budget deficit, but think it is "negligible" as the amount of money we give away to other countries in Foreign Aid (aka, your tax dollars being sent to out-of-the-country charities by politicians).
We could solve California's problem today by simply giving them the "foreign aid." After all, charity begins at home.
Can we reroute the border fence to put CA on the other side of it? The last thing we need is more of them getting out into the rational states of the US. If they want to create a modern utopia let them live with the devastating aftermath of it.
Not sure where you live, but without California, Illinois, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, and the other "Union controlled" states, you would have a far less quality of life. Despite what you and every other redneck in America thinks, imagine your world without computers, televisions, construction equipment, PICKUP TRUCKS, and your beloved country music.
The technology for all of these items was developed and originated in the above states for mass production.
I bet you respond saying how you learned to live off the land, blah blah blah. Enjoy living off the land in a horse and buggy, unable to buy cleaning supplies and toilet paper.

Who said anything about a bailout? Oh yeah - I forgot - reality doesn't matter to paranoid conservatives.
See post #14 for starters.
And there's LOTS of talk about giving California a bailout. Just type California Bailout in Google and see for yourself. I got 2+ million results. I'm surprised you haven't heard any of this?
