It seems that Tea Party has changed since it started. Old Tea Party pick for president = Ron Paul. New Tea Party pick for president = Sarah Palin. Old Tea Party stance on Israel = Stop all support. New Tea Party stance on Israel = Unconditional support. Old Tea Party stance on the War in the Middle East = Reduce forces to a eventual withdraw of troops. New Teal Party stance on the War in the Middle East = Increase forces and invade Iran. Old Tea Party stance on The Federal Reserve = Ban it. New Tea Party stance on The Federal Reserve = Print Print Print. Old Tea Party stance on wall street ballots = Not a chance. New Tea Party stance on wall street ballots = Yes. Old Tea Party stance on Too big to fail company's = Let the free market decide. New Tea Party stance on Too big to fail company's = Bail them out.

I don't know where you're getting your information, but you're being misled.

So which statements are true (originally) and which ones are false?

After searching all over, I was told by C-D posters who are TPers that there was never an "official platform".

When repeatedly asked for specific points, they never provided any.

Now I understand the reluctance: they're making it up as they go, they're going to defend whatever the Republicans do and they do not mean anything they say.

Well, we all agree about cutting spending and limited government. That has been the position of every Tea Party participant I've ever met.

That's nice.

Still has no meaning.

Must be nice to take center stage and not say jack. Sounds like a lot of people went Warhol all at the same time.

And now it looks more like a Picasso buck seventy-five cheap print. Just saying....

I though their platform (aka rickety deck) always included the need to cut all government spending excep the Government pensions, Social Seciruty and Medicare they recieve.

They are and have been, the pawns of the GOP. Their candidates that got elected, will be the sacrificial lambs of the GOP in 2012. After 2012, they will fade away.
