Inflammatory? To be honest, I can't imagine how one could not be completely incensed by these kinds of stories going on in America today.

I don't know why people do the things they do. Maybe you can tell me. All I DO know is the Principal in this case acted upon his assessment of the situation (which he knows better than us) to protect his students from possible violence.

I can't imagine how one could not be completely supportive of a school official protecting our children.

It’s a sad commentary when the U.S. flag is considered “offensive” when displayed on U.S. soil. What on earth has become of this country? What’s next. . . . banning the singing of the Star Spangled Banner?

Are all flags banned in this school? If not then it's wrong. But there's not too many details explained.

Although I doubt the kid had bad intentions against the Hispanic kids as he has a spanish surname himself. But if there's a rule banning all flags or something then a rules a rule. Wish there were more details about this story.

Whether you believe in it or not is entirely immaterial.

I can't imagine an American flag being banned from display in any public school.

"(The) First Amendment is important," Superintendent Edward Parraz said. "We want the kids to respect it, understand it, and with that comes a responsiblity."

So, the first thing he does is strip this child of his 1st Amendment rights?????
