1) Constitutionalists hate Nazis. Seems pretty simple.

2) Nazis are a left-wing socialist party, not "right wing" as used in the United States

Better question-considering the appalling number of Nazis defended by the ACLU, why does the liberal left love them so much? I guess the reason really is pretty obvious. US liberals attack Jews nearly to the extent that Nazis did.

Because they hate the actual constitution but like to pretend they support their mythical not actually the constition, constitution. Which exists only in their own heads and which is antithetical to the actual constitution.

i may be going out on a limb here but i'd expect the american nazi party's stance on immigration, affirmative action and gay marriage would lean more right then left.

That was presumably on 1st Amendment grounds which they are normally pretty even handed about.

However they do push cases which they believe will further left wing causes, and have a very liberal interpretation of the Constitution. That applies to abortion, illegal immigration, guns, homosexuality, death ppenalty and so on.
I am middle to right depending on who is judging and like some of what the ACLU does. But they are far to liberal in their view of the Constitution. Look no further than AJ Ginsberg who was their counsel, and now sits on the SCOTUS. Her liberal votes/opinions are based on left wing ideology, not grounded in the framers original intent when they ratified it.

Just as I call out left wing loons for comparing conservatives to Nazi's (should have called out the OP on it but forgot), so too am I calling you out on such a despicable comment.
Just because left wing loons can be anti-Israel and blindly defend Muslims despite being responsible for the vast majority of terror attacks, they are not anything near to Nazi's. To compare the two is to diminish the true evil Nazi's represented to mankind.

So while they were more left wing than liberals want to admit, lets not stoop to such comparisons.

What???? The ACLU has filed many lawsuits against the Obama administration in regard to NSA spying. Nobody is doing more to combat this abuse than the ACLU.

ACLU sues Obama administration over NSA surveillance

thats my biggest issue with the ACLU as well. if they were more even handed in the cases they got involved in, i wouldnt have an issue with them at all.

What cases has the ACLU refused to "get involved in" that you wish they had, and what cases have they taken that you wish they hadn't?

You mean like every 2A case?

The ACLU counts to ten like this: 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

Like people have said, they pick and chose a lot of what they want to take to court. On the whole it is pretty liberal leaning, though there are some regional groups that do tend to lean conservative.

Seriously, this thread is way old. Before yesterday the last post was in 2010.

The Nazis were fascists, and just about every political science expert places fascism firmly on the far right of the political spectrum. The Nazis purged the socialists and communists from the party early on. Later they sent them to concentration camps with everyone else they considered political enemies and inferiors. If you're going to use the right-left political scale, the Nazis are on the right wing side. So own it.

As for the liberals attacking Jews, I'm sure Stormfront and all the other neo-Nazi, anti-Semitic web sites out there on the internet are just a hotbed of liberals.
