(July 19) -- Sarah Palin's never been short on chutzpah. The latest demonstration concerns her reaction to a recent Twitter post, in which she meant to write "repudiate," mixed it with "refute," and wound up employing the non-word "refudiate."
"Ground Zero Mosque supporters: doesn't it stab you in the heart, as it does ours throughout in the heartland? Peaceful Muslims pls refudiate"
The tweet was removed. And then Palin -- who had also said "refudiated" on a July 14 Fox News appearance -- rather than simply cop to her mistake, compared herself to Shakespeare. She tweeted:
"'Refudiate,' 'misunderestimate,' 'wee-wee'd up.' English is a living language. Shakespeare liked to coin new words too. Got to celebrate it!"
Sarah is going to become the Yogi Berra of the political world. She is an intelligent woman, but she is prone to making key mistakes by misusing the language at times.
We can forgive for this as long as she can still see Russia from her house.
It shows she's been reading books (or at least thinking about them). Next time during an interview when she is asked who she reads, she can have an answer ready.

We already have a Yogi Berra as President, only thing what Intelligence! All he does is make mistakes, and point fingers at everyone but himself. Without that dang teleprompter, he's toast.
She needs to stay out of the business of New Yorkers and let the people there who were most effected by 9-11 decide what is acceptable or not. She is such a pot-stirrer, has to always have her name in the media spotlight.
Unfortunately, her misuse and misspelling of words only endears her more to her base who look at things like that as counter to elitism and educated people in D.C.

What a dunce and a belligerent dunce at that! Imagine...Palin daring to compare herself to The Bard. LMAO
Meh, you know what? Pointless thing to criticize her on. Myself hears intelligent people mix up "and I/me/myself" all the time. C'est la vie. Me knows how to use them correctly but myself has heard it incorrectly so many times that me has learned to ignore it. Me guess it's not taught in school these days.
There are much easier/better things to criticize her on. Like racism against Muslims right there. Easy. Done.
Her grammatical errors only endear her even more to her fans. They'll say it makes her more authentic and down-to-earth.
I don't really care, and to a certain extent, I agree with her that English (and all languages) are "living" and always evolving.
