You would think that based on this thread we would have a massive illegal immigration problem from europe yet most who I talk to in europe, yes actually talk to and ask questions not just go on here say, say they are over all happy with their system. When I talk to people in Australia and NZ they are even more so. No they aren't happy about everything who is?, but this thread about the ultra patriotic going out of their way to see that America capitalism is thought of as perfect while ragging on others is closed minded.

Seems some have a single crusade to win a war over the mindset and proving they are right between capitalism vs socialism . It is no different than the ultra socialist that will not admit or believe that any form of capitalism can be good.

So we have a poster who obviously was looking and itching for a reason to put down on european socialism telling us how europe is going to hell in a hand basket yet people in europe I have actually talked to say they like their place rather than America for some reasons. So who am I to believe?

Would you trust a slave to tell you that slavery is good?

I wonder how much it would cost to retire in Tuscany? Subsudized health care, subsudized housing, subsudized wine and Italian women. What's not to love?

This or europe's government does not enslave people. Our crony corporatism does a very good job of enslaving people and calling them employees.

Odd, many I have talked to from other parts of the world think America's health system is slavery. Can it be that maybe the way some Americans see themself is not the way others see them? We have all known that type before, the guy or girl who thinks they are "all that" *snaps fingers* when in reality others don't see them that way at all.

Oh I know the answer to that "well I don't give a gawd damn what others think anyway", but it sure seems some want to believe so hard that europeans are just drowning in jealousy.

To categorically say the Liberals "Hold up Europe of everything they want the US to become" is blatantly false.

They use texting instead, and even then sparingly, because that costs money too.

Computers are pretty rare, unless you're in major cities, and even then. Internet is horrible, connections are bad. But they use Skype to keep from having to pay long distance costs when they can, because that costs way too much.

About the only thing that didn't cost about enormous amounts of money was the beer.
One thing about European cell phone rates is calling party pays. In America both parties pay. When that is taken into consideration the rates are comparable to rates here into the United States.

Computers are rare? What would you use to support your theory?
Could it be that all the people that you cite to promote your cause are can't cope halfwits?
Actually based on overall broadband speeds most countries in Europe offer faster and CHEAPER broadband service than what is available in the United States.

I lived in Europe for 13 straight years. Trust me, that continent will be just fine. And even if they won't be, that's their business.

Meanwhile, THIS country is doing a pretty good job of going broke itself. I don't think Americans have any room to be talking bad about another continent. Better be trying to fix your own glass house before tossing stones.

Actually Eurpoean cell phone technology tends to be ahead of the United States. Their mobille broadband systems are faster, text become popular in Europe long before it as in the United States.

Telekom Austria launched their 4G Network in 2009. Sprint just announced 4G here in the United States this year.
4G Americas

There are also plans to make broadband available to ALL Europeans by 2013 and to increase the speed to 30Mbps across Europe by 2020.
