Any thread could be more productive and thought provoking if the participants acted rationally. Of course, Europe has problems, it is not the utopia. Utopia does not exist.
The OP's stories are clearly fabricated and I liked to keep up with the spirit of the illusion. It was fun.
The whole world is heading for collapse. Wheeeeeeeeeeee!

You cant have freedom from corporate tyranny when you call for more governmental control..

You cant have freedom from corrupt, greedy, and self serving corporate and financial players while calling for governmental control

You want to be totally free.. then stop supporting this country become JUST LIKE EUROPE.. If you want freedom from corporations.. then become a hermit and live in the woods like the Unibomber..

I was down in Mons, But I made it up to Brussels several times. Ironically in Brussels so see, of all things a Willie Nelson concert. I'm not a big fan, but she was.

Don't ask, the girl had the tickets and was dying to see him.

I'm sure you'll know this... driving in Brussels is a lesson in "using the force" street signs are impossible to spot going that speed. But I wasnt there to hit the "tourist areas"

Sure I saw Grand Place, Mons had one too.... but that wasn't the rest of Belgium.

How about some sort of information to go on for example the country. An earlier thread stated that Germany's economy was booming because they refused to follow Obama's advice for a stimulus.
Try this, go to Google and type in "is <country_name> close to bankruptcy?"

You'll see Greece, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Portugal on the brink....

Why does someone here have to post a link all the time? Do your own research, maybe you'll learn something.

Maybe the people you wrote about should never have left the security, safety, and comfort of their parents' homes. Maybe they were not yet ready to deal with reality on their own. Some people just can't manage anything in life without holding mom's hand.
5 to 15 Euros for city transit? Where? From where to where?
You know that Americans are ignorant and will believe everything bad about Europe.
I doubt that you were in Europe.

Right, you don't know anything about anything.
But what is your point in all this. To be noticed at all cost.
Let people make up their own judgment about Europe.
As a guide you are worthless.

Because liberals are used to being spoon-fed everything by the government so they can't possible do their own research

That is one of the most ludicrous statements I've seen in quite some time. Please put brain in gear before engaging fingertips:
