Hey, Sarah Palin is the one who actively transforms her family into a national spectacle for cash and popularity, so I think it's fair game to take pot shots at all of them. They can't have it both ways.
Most other politicians do not subject their families to the spotlight for cash, whether Republican or Democrat. Can anyone name Joe Biden's kids and what antics they're up to lately? Or Huckabee's? Or Pelosi's? Or Rand Paul's?

I don't pay attention to the Palins, but I love how the liberals get their panties all wadded up over them (I guess it distracts from the failings of their Messiah).
I bet she purposely did it to get a reaction of this anti-bullying nonsense movement promulgated by a weak-minded college student that flung himself off a bridge...
Its interesting to see this defense from someone on the right. Just last week another poster from the rights stated several times on C-D that a parent that lives in the "ghetto" do not care about their children. When I stated that the law abiding tax paying one's live where they could afford until they could afford more, I was accused of making excuses....Interesting
Anytime someone dares to either defend themselves, or to have an opinion they don't like---BIFFO!!!! Out come the labels...y'know---leftie, communist, socialist, etc.
But what they don't know, in their alleged infinite wisdom, is this...they can sound the trumpets, eat cake and pie, and shout bamalama all they want---but the 'boot' works both ways, meaning if they don't produce, or get the country moving in the right direction, then they can get voted the h**l out too...because the electorate has spoken, and they want RESULTS, not a bunch of hot air, table-banging, and general bulls**t...
They are now on the clock---the same clock that the president has been on since day one, and the same standards and rules they applied to him, now are squarely on them...it's startlingly simple---produce or hit the bricks...but they don't want to hear that...we're still, three weeks later, hearing a bunch of crowing and 'we showed you damned libs!'
Okay---you showed us...the Dems got handed their hineys on a platter with blue cheese dressing and celery, and that is chiseled in stone fact...but judging from things I've heard and read about from inside the GOP camp, there's gonna be a situation based on the Tea Party influence within the Party...if they can overcome the potential divide, and actually (gasp!) get something done like they've been on the Dems about for what seems like forever, then I'll hush and eat a big rubber boot...
But enough of all this name-calling and chest beating and label-throwing...the mandate is clear---either turn the thing around, or be prepared to hit the road at the hands of the once-again angry electorate...no more, no less

Yes and she also taught abstinence only to this kid's sister. Kids will be kids, but I get the feeling that this is what she hears at home right out of the mouth of her mom and dad. Tha Palin folk do not and have never seemed to be way up on the sophistication ladder. This is just the folksiness that some fringe right wing Joe The Plumber types adore about the Palins.
But President Obama is NOT the subject of this thread.
