Some of us see that massive unemployment is not good, however, you are free to think it is good, if you want.

Those that don't raise an eyebrow to the way this stock IPO was handled must be wearing a blindfold instead.

O was smack in the middle of this. The closed doors are the proof. That's his forte.

I wonder how the unionists' feel (collectively of course) about working for the Chinese?

For all you know China could have gotten in at the IPO and then dumped at the open to walk away with a nice profit.

Making money on the stock is not the issue. Some will, some won't. What the stock value is next week or next year, will show some measure of the success of the Company. That GM is able to do this, and raise money, is what is significant.

Making money on the stock may not be an issue for you..but that is the goal of everyone who buys stock.

That was easy money yesterday at the open. 20% of the IPO shares traded within the first 10 minutes of trading at a $2/share profit.

That stock will never hit $53 a share... Never

Look what happened yesterday.

The people that got a back door invite to the stock, bought @ $33. It opens to the selective public @ $35 and those with the backdoor price dump it, pocketing more US currency and taking it to China. Look who else was able to get it before it opened!

THIS IS HILARIOUS! The usual socialists that rant and rave about the middle class and how our jobs and money keep ending up overseas, but they support this! What a crock of crap you hypocrites! This is what is wrong! Foreingers buying up our companies. They don't care about our people having jobs, only their bottom line and you people are supporting this?! GM will move completely to China now and the American economy and worker will get screwed even more while you people cheer this on in the name of BS globalization. You people crack me the hell up. You are absolutely insane and have some sort of reasoning disorder. You champion being a "global" citizen, which in turn you are championing turning over the wealth of this country to other nations and lowering your own standard of living at the same time howling to the moon about outsourcing and wages dropping. You people are feeding your own monster...

Ford, Toyota, and Honda all lobbied congress to help reorganize GM and Chrysler in an orderly manner because they said if GM and/or Chrysler go under then most of their suppliers would go under stopping production at Ford, Toyota, and Honda for a time. Sorry, but the whole problem with a global financial crisis is capital markets aren't working thus strategic intervention is needed. As it turns out everything was done well and we, the tax payers, are going to make a healthy profit in addition to saving hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of US jobs. You should be happy.
