".....How does one “move the country forward”? In the center’s report, Podesta explains that Obama can use executive orders, rulemaking, and even the armed forces “to accomplish important change” and that such means “should not be underestimated.”.........
It reads like a far left wish list with an unlimited budget. It also suggests Obama use the military to accomplish some of his goals even though Congress voted against those goals.
Some of the suggestions by The Center for American Progress experts have me thinking this is a joke:
~ Generate solar energy on U.S. Air Force hangar roofs
~ Conserve federal lands for future generations
~ Replace costly, inhumane immigration detention policies with equally effective measures
~ Collect data on lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans in federal data surveys
~ Develop a comprehensive policy on the Russia-Georgia conflict
~ Launch an “educational productivity” initiative to help school districts spend every dollar wisely to best prepare our children for the 21st century
~ Build the next-generation Recovery.gov web site to track all public expenditures and performance in real time
For the most part this document wants more studies, more survey's, more government agencies. Nowhere in this socialist wish list are there any concrete suggestions on how to get American citizens back to work...

These "progressives" just can't shut up. Just about everything you hang them on comes out of their own mouth.
I would like to point out to Mr Podesta that it is doubtful that there are many "progressives" in the military willing to go along with goose-stomping marching orders.

Do you mean like when Truman integrated the military?
Is that supposed to be a bad thing?
