Yea, at least some folks are sane. I find it odd that the middle class folks are defending these millionaires tooth and nail, but won't come to the defense of people in their own income brackets. Astounding when you think about it.

Me personally, i'd let the Bush tax cuts expire for Lottie, Dottie, and Everybody! If the rich can take it, then we all should.

That is a laugh. Nothing is stopping them from sending in more tax money to the Treasury. Are they doing that? Of course not.

Umm, when you file your taxes there is special line there called "Additional withholding" or similar (can't remember the exact wording)

So unless you just want to draw attention to yourself, you can write in your gazillion dollar voluntary contribution right there and attach the check.

"More than 40 of the nation's millionaires"

What a groundswell! I'll send them each a pen and they can write as many checks to the government as they please.

"For the fiscal health of our nation and the well-being of our fellow citizens, we ask that you allow tax cuts on incomes over $1,000,000 to expire at the end of this year as scheduled," their website states. "We make this request as loyal citizens who now or in the past earned an income of $1,000,000 per year or more."

The group includes many big-time Democratic donors such as Gail Furman, trial lawyer Guy Saperstein and Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerry's ice cream (pictured). The list remains open to millionaires who want to sign on

These are patriots. As for Ben Cohen...he's been an advocate for cutting defense spending. This guy has his head on straight.

He advocated redefining success in business to look past the bottom line. Cohen said he made a lot of money in his business, especially when the company went public and then was bought by the conglomerate Unilever.

“We need to change how we measure success … to profitability and the impact on the community, whether that is positive or negative,” Cohen said

if i were to make more than $1,000,000 per year, i would probably call for a tax increase on that income level as well. then i would work to take my income to below that amount so i wouldnt have to pay the extra tax. of course if i were making that much money i would have a tax free foundation that paid my expenses, have no income to speak of, and pay little in taxes period.

I know people in their income bracket that feel the same way. I am glad they are coming forward. One thing the wing nuts hate more than a welfare recipient is a wealthy Democrat. Note all the Soros bashing. It shatters their whole theory that the left is about handouts and are a bunch of welfare recipients.

It shatters no thoery whatsoever. Those rich elite Democrats are exactly that. ELITISTS. They don't care about you. They also don't want anyone else rising to their status. Why don't these poeple make donations to the US Treasury? They are ALL talk and no action.
