I think it's absolutely ridiculous and it stomps on our free speech. We should be able to discuss government overthrow all we want if the US is really a free country.
Hey Nomad, I couldn't agree with you more. Indeed many of the statements made by the Founders would be considered terroristic in today's hyper sensitive environment. I mean, just read some of Jefferson's statements in the Declaration of Independence. But of course it does serve in the best interest of the State to keep people quiet for fear of being labeled a terrorist because it keeps people under control.

Sure we could overthrow the government. But who would take its place? The teaparty and Sarah Palin? No thanks, I would rather have this government. Now if it were a party that has never had any relation to the Republicans or Democrats then......that would never happen though.

Advocating the violent overthrow of the elected government is TREASON, those who advocate it are Traitors and should be dealt with as traitors

At the time the "Founders" made those statements they were BEING treasonous!

By the way, let's not confuse terrorism with any act of insurrection.

It's sad how far we've devolved. Today, most of the incontinent sheeple on CD would be whooping and cheering, as they hang Thomas Jefferson in the public square for treason.

No, its not. Advocating the overthrow of the government is a right we have in this country. So we are not traitors for practicing our right.

Hm, but the American people have elected that government, it is not in power because of a coup, nor does it hinder planned elections

So, what is the point of advocating something that would be illegal if put into action?
