Apparently it does, per the article.

But are all now safer due to their extreme prejudice in giving this threat the proper enhanced pat down. Let's just bend over and take it in the name of security. It's sad what people will accept in the name of security. Just sad. People..we are being conditioned. Don't fool yourself into thinking otherwise.

Hey, the one thing I do like about this is that it is a great opportunity to preach the virtues of rail travel. I already take the Amtrak between school and home anyway. And:

As long as this kind of security is going on we all need to accept the fact that we are presumed guilty when we get to the airport until we can prove our innocence after the scanning/pat down is over.
Everyday Americans now get to find out how this feels. Maybe then there will be more sympathy towards victims of profiling? Not!

I'm so amused by this country.

Agreed.

I wish the airports would start opting out of the TSA altogether and hire their own version of El Al screeners. Profile the hell out of potential problem travelers ... quit the stupid politically correct, random crap. Don't pat down Grandma Bessie or the 5 year old girl with her teddy bear.

Fast track the super frequent flyers. Strip search the guy with a one way ticket to DC and that born in Yemen.

It looks like Mr. Sawyer attacked the TSA with a yellow liquid weapon of some sort. Possibly a chemical or biological weapon. That's not really urine!!!

Throw him in jail. He's a terrorist.

Do you want to be safe or not? You cannot have it all.
Except NOTHING being done would find that out...so 'feel' safe while flying KNOWING that any of the other passengers around you could have explosives hidden in a body cavity....

Exactly, it's an illusion.

He isn't any safer than he was for the last 9 years, plus.

What it could have been is much more important than what it actually is these days.

This is just so opposite of our justice system ... It's supposed to be innocent until proven guilty!
