I couldn't agree more with this assessment. I think Prez Bush did just fine.

In an age of Nuclear weapons, seven minutes was precious lost time. The only thing Bush was told by Andrew Card was that a 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower and that America was under attack. If not alarming a classroom of 3rd graders takes precedence over the safety and security of our country, Bush should have been a grade school teacher instead.

Your excuse for Bush's ineptness, during an attack on our country, would work except for one little problem. Andrew Card did not tell Bush to stay put until the Secret Service could establish his safe moves. Andrew Card told Bush that our country was under attack. Card then wondered if Bush heard him correctly because Bush just sat there without excusing himself from the classroom.

My how many forget the past.
Thanks, I was about to say the same. In fact I remember when the second one crashed we were all still wanting to believe it was not what it was.

If it took the secret service over seven minutes to decide what to do, they are worthless for protecting the president, wouldn't you think? It was public knowledge that Bush would be at that elementary school that day. For all anybody knew, Bush and the school was targeted next.

Next time think though your excuses a little more carefully.

As wrong as can be.

In 1994 Air France flight 8969 wit 164 passengers on board, was hijacked from Algiers by four GIA terrorists to crash it onto the Eiffel Tower.

What terrorist had in mind was very well understood.

Bush was on the Leno show last week and conveyed the same message.

He thought it was important not to rush out of the room and appear panicked.

btw - where was Barry on 09-11-2001 - smoking cigs and honking a few lines?

I had to laugh at this...This has to be the funniest thread ever. Bin Laden has been playing hopscotch and bingo for the last 9 years and your asking about the last 2? LMAO....
