You people don't even know the full extent of what happened and how they brought him up on charges.

Yes he did what he did, which was not illegal at the time he did what he did. Soon after it was discovered just what he did and how he did it, it was made illegal to do. then they brought charges against him for those very laws, made after he did what he did.

Ronnie Earl, is the guy that was behind the entire thing, as a vendetta against DeLay.

You really think he was going to get a fair trail in the San Francisco of Texas, called Austin?

He was convicted of something that was not a crime to do at the time he did it. He is the cause of the law being changed and the loophole he used closed. He is then brought up on charges of the new law, against something he did prior to the law.

What he did was a perfectly legal backdoor deal... at the time he did it.

Just 3 months ago, you were "sadly" concerned that DeLay would not get his reputation back:

Yada yada yada.....Nahhh, you should let this fact sink in your head. Tom Delay - former Republican congressional leader, fascist blowhard, religious right nutcase - is a convicted felon as of today. He should be locked up for life.

This news should unite Americans.

Does it matter which party a crook is affiliated with?

Again, Time to drain the political swamp that we call congress..

Well, in prison he'll still be doing deals via the backdoor, if you catch my drift.

I second that. They need to throw the book at him.

Default Tom Delay: Life in Prison?

Tom Delay could get life in prison for $190,000 misappropriation of funds? How can a white collar crime constitute the same or more years as someone who is guilty of murder?

Charlie Rangel gets "censured" i.e. a slap on the wrist for not paying the IRS and Timothy Geithner "forgets" to pay his taxes but doesn't have to pay a penalty, but Delay could get life in prison?

What's wrong with this picture?
