These ideas would certainly save the US taxpayer a bundle of money by not having to support these lazy underage bums.
Yawn. There were no children working in factories when that law passed. Very, very few children worked in factories after 1900. The government was 40 years too late, yet they still claim credit. Typical. LOLs.

And no one is forced to pay more than minimum wage right now. Yet 100% of employers pay at least some of their workers more. 98% pay all employees more than minumum wage.

In other words, your theory is completely wrong.

I guess people like you also want "proof" that the sun rises in the East and sets in the West?

I actually believe in "child labor." Not abusive labor, but the kind that teaches kids a work ethic . . . the type I believe in is not forced, but if the kid wants to work on weekends or during summers or whatever, then they should be able to without prejudice.

The HC law makes cuts to medicare, these cuts are justified on the basis the providers will become more efficient. They will be paying less and simply expect the provider to accept the cuts. The HHS analysis of this law calls these cuts "unrealistic" and states many providers could not remain profitable, they will either have to override the cuts wiping out the much touted deficit savings in the bill or you can expect people on medicare unable to find providers willing to treat them.

This article is unrelated to the current HC law but just about mirrors what I'm discussing here. Back in the 90's legislation was put in place to reduce the cost of medicare by making cuts to the providers, however each year when it comes up they keep kicking the problem down the road which is what they'll do with the current legislation when the time comes to make the cuts.

Doctors brace for possible big Medicare pay cuts | Philadelphia Inquirer | 11/13/2010 (http://www.philly.com/inquirer/business/20101113_Doctors_brace_for_possible_big_Medicare_p ay_cuts.html - broken link)

WASHINGTON - Breast-cancer surgeon Kathryn Wagner has posted a warning in her waiting room about a different sort of risk to patients' health: She will stop taking new Medicare cases if Congress allows looming cuts in doctors' compensation to go through...

...lawmakers in the 1990s devised a formula for payment cuts intended as an automatic braking system to keep Medicare humming along at a sustainable growth rate.

But every time health-care costs went up, the legislators hit the override button to block the payment cuts.

Not long. Eventually some 'bagger will come forward and explain to us how we don't need "Big government" getting in the way of economic profits and that these children really need to get off the Wiis anyway.

Americans WORK for a living? Yeah...right!

Unfortunately, that ship has sailed.

I think the left will push for it though, because the sooner they're eligible to work, the sooner they can collect unemployment and become dependent on the govt.
