I picture it kind of like an older brother who enjoys picking on his little brother, but if the neighbor kid tried to pick on his little brother, he might be peed off.
I don't think the Royal family would worry about that (especially after they ruse the muslim community with Israel's illegal and aggressive move of flying over the desolate portion of Saudi air space) because the muslims are not going to hate the Israelis anymore than they already do. As a matter of fact, SA could pull off international brownie points by showing their poise and commitment to peace by the appearance of "restraint". Both Jordan and SA (and the rest of Sunni/Arab world) have a big stake in not allowing the Shiite/Persian nation to have that kind of a big stick.

Yes but as you pointed out, among the population in Saudi Arabia are thousands of little Bin Ladens and other Wahhabist just itching for a truck loaded with C-4. They are also surrounded by the likes of Yemen, Somalia, Syria, and Iran. There comes a point to those more religiously fanatical when it is seen that their government is working in its own interests instead of the interest of the people or Islam, at which point something will give. Remember the attempt on Nassar?

As far as the Muslim world hating Israel any more, I suspect this isn't true, as right now they hate it to the point of tolerating it. Unleash Israel into Lebanon, Iran, or Egypt and considering the Muslim worlds sentiments towards the US and Israel now, I'm willing to bet it would head south pretty fast.

When the story leaked that Saudi Arabia would allow Israel to use its airspace, Saudi Arabia was almost instantly denouncing it would do such a thing and there is a reason for this.

I would agree that now that the wiki-leaks have been released, that SA or Jordan cannot allow Israel to fly over. The cat is out of that bag. But, I suspect part of the resentment that the Saudi citizens have against the royal family is that they will do what is best for them and everything (including their faith) is secondary. The covert option of taking care of the world's "Iran" problem has been taken off the table (to a large extent) thanks to these leaks. I think the option will have to be more overt now.

Israel and Saudi Arabia are more cooperative than many of us are made to believe.
Someone needs to do something about Iran. Who cares who it is. America is too weak to stop them, so why not Israel? They are truely the last toughest nation on the planet now.

So if Israel is the last toughest nation on the planet, then why is it so necessary for the United States to continually send them welfare checks each year? Are they strong because of us or in spite of us?

Its great to see those who discredited Wikileaks when they announce that WMD's were found in Iraq, now using wikileaks to post what was already known, that we sell weapons to israel.. shocker!!!
