Well, I am Atheist and it does not mean that I am not a "believer" as any other religious person in this planet. Atheism as the word indicates means no God or gods., but as an atheist I am , I do believe in the existence of the Universe and its laws even when still the majority of those laws prevail unknown to our understanding and comprehension. Atheism in the history of the Humankind has brought into our lives not more socio-political and cultural complexity, problems and wars than any other religion workshiped by million of peoples.
I don't think atheists have been clean in preventing wars. The atheists Communists have had wars and killed millions of people in the name of no God.
Arrogant little creeps, this group is, aren't they?
...and Christmas lights and Nativity scenes have been up for over a month...It's really not a big deal. I'm not offended just because atheists have a different opinion...
I would like to know if atheists have anything to replace Christmas with. You can't make people stop something they think is wonderful and leave a void. That is why this is so laughable. Do atheists really think people will stop Christmas and believing in God?
This is why there are only around 2% non-believers in America, if that many. I heard atheists need to put up billboards and whine around Christmas because they feel alone this time of year. I'm sorry they feel alone but I can't help what they think or chose to do, none of us can.
Even Scrooge had to change and come in out of the cold to the welcoming arms of family and the warmth of the fire.
For one thing atheists, most of us at least have no desire to replace Christmas, many of us enjoy the holidays too. That being said Christians do not own it, but it is really a Pagan celebration of the winter solstice.
Point number two..You are not very up to date are you? You probably won't like this, but your numbers are very, very wrong. Survey tables show how the 8.2% of Americans in 1990 who declared their atheism, agnosticism, or lack of belief in any religion has grown to 15% by 2008, with another 12.1% of Americans who think there is a god but it isn’t a personal theistic god, a grand total of 24.4% of Americans announce that the traditional supernatural God of Christianity, Judaism and Islam doesn’t exist. .....Remember this survey was from 2008 and I'm certain that atheism and the non religious numbers have grown since.
Atheists are now the third largest group behind Catholics and Baptists, and our numbers are growing rapidly, whereas the numbers of most if not all religious denominations are on the decline.
No. I said it's the same principle. To get media attention or participation in one's cause, they need to go into the very community where it will generate such attention.
Atheists put up billboards over Christmas because that's when people will notice it.
The KKK marches in Chicago and NYC because that's where they are noticed.

When's the last time the KKK marched in NYC or Chicago? Hell, it wasn't even Chicago last time, it was Skokie, and it was put together by a child molesting Jew who hated his father so much he joined the American Nazi movement.
You're confirming my point, that this is an attention whoring stunt. The Klan have nothing to offer so they have to try and shock people into noticing them, same thing with the Atheists. A godless country sounds great to me, but even the slowest of dullards that has any sense of 20th century history will tell you that Godless societies have been the worst mankind has seen in modern times.
Your facts are totally incorrect. The last time the Klan marched as a group in Chicago was in the suburb of Berwyn in 2003.
The NSM was in Glenview and Skokie area and on the south side during the Irish St. Patty's Day parade demonstrating in 2009.
The Nazi Party never marched in Skokie. They sued to march in Skokie in 1978, but ended up demonstrating in Marquette Park in the city, Lincolnwood (suburb), and in the Loop.
Frank Collin was a Nazi Party member, not the Klan, although they are both horrible.

The Berwyn Klan march had no national pub. More cops than Klan.
The John Birch society with their pictures of Obama and Hitler are currently "demonstrating" down the street from me.
Was a huge story and a landmark 1st Amendment case.
National socialist, Nazi, whatever.
