Saudi king urged US to attack Iran: leaked documents - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/usdiplomacymilitaryinternetwikileakssaudiiran - broken link)

Even other Muslim states are afraid of the nutcases in Iran getting nukes. Even they want us to attack Iran. Of course, they'll play it two-faced and denounce us as "Islamaphobic" if we do but that's just political theater to placate their own populations. I hope these leaked cables are translated to Arabic and get read by the populations of the Middle-eastern countries.

Yep. They want Iran taken care of, but don't want to do it themselves. They are asking the US to do it, and that is funny. Asking Obama to do it! The biggest coward!
It will be more likely that they will give funds to Israel to do it for them.

Great, first thing we need to do is find out just how the other Muslim states are going to pay for their wishes.

The world has been hoping that the Iranian people themselves would do this. But, when they rise up - the nations stand by and do nothing. Liberty is contagious though and they have had a taste of it. Now, the world needs to set up some "Radio-Free-Iran" stations (they probably already have them) and pump up the dissent within it's citizenry. Freedom is best appreciated when won for yourself and not by a "liberator".

Let the Saudi government clean up their own house FIRST.

If Saudi didn't have so much oil, they would have been included in Bush's "axis of evil" too. But like China and N Korea, they will let us do the dirty (and expensive) work and reap the benefits after their competition/problem neighbor is gone.

What proof do you have that Obama won't fight a war? This has GOT to be good.

And the Israeli's aren't going to do a damn thing either.

Awesome news, I can't wait for a total collapse of the Middle East and the ensuing attempted overthrow of the US propped House of Saud. That should make gasoline in the US about 8 bucks a gallon. yay!

I'm sure this has nothing to do with Sunni vs Shiite that has been an ongoing struggle for oh... 1000 years give or take.

Seems like everyone wants the US to take out Iran, too bad they don't have the courage to do it themselves. I mean its not like we can't afford it with our booming economy and massive army of keyboard commando's and internet rambo's just itching to get in country.

I hope the populations read them too. Just more evidence how undemocratic their US supported regime is. Maybe they will be overthrown by the populace that likely hopes Iran will get nukes.

But you can stop with the Neocon argument that Saudi Arabia is afraid of Iran using nukes....they don't like the fact their rival has them and they don't.

They will be overthrown eventually. When the office of the caliphate is restored and the Muslim umma is unified then they will turn on the Saudi royal family and all of its debauchery and kill them to the last man, woman, and child.

Neocon argument? No, I agree with you that they only object because they don't have them. The Saudis don't need nukes when they have oil. Oil is the weapon they use. The commoners in Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, would LOVE to see another Muslim country get nukes. To them it is about power and respect because they know that the current state of most Muslim countries is humiliating.
