Fact, Obama didnt even propose a single payer system or a public option.. it was NEVER proposed. Blame Obama for this, not the GOP

Wrong, it could be repealed in the same manner it passed. Obama could sign an executive order repealing DADT TODAY.. again, he's not.. Dont blame the GOP for Obamas inaction..

The overspending is non-partisan, both sides are guilty. We must both increase revenue and cut costs. The rich who unfortunately control practically everything need to pay more, just like they used to before they raped the rest of us. The entitlements should be diminished with the goal of reducing them to near zero over the long haul. The defense budget should be slashed to bits after we close the foreign bases and bring all troops to the soil they are honor-bound to protect.

Again, both parties are pretty worthless but the Republicans, in their latest display of a full-blown toddler temper tantrum, have only certified their disinterest in doing the work they were hired to do. Send them to Guantanamo for acting against the best interest of their nation and for doing it so blatantly. If you voted for them, you wasted your vote. They only care about winning at any cost.
it did not.. the Bush tax cuts benefited the poor who started receiving checks from the government with their yearly tax returns and it benefited the taxpayers by increasing revenues to the government and doubling the amount of capital gains taxes paid by the wealthy.

Why would you want to cut their taxes and repeal the tax bill? Ooh I get it, because you dont understand the difference between the marginal tax rate, and the effective tax rate.

NEWS FLASH LIBERALS.. If you repeal the tax cuts, the rich will pay LESS in taxes because they will return to not cashing out their investments and roll them over again..

Bush 43
Americans Below The Poverty Level
2001 - 32.907 million 2008 - 39.829 million - increase 21.04%

Overall Population Growth
2001 - 281.475 million 2008 - 301.041 million - increase 6.95%

During the Bush 43 Administration poverty INCREASED three times faster than rate of population growth.

Clinton
Americans Below The Poverty Level
1993 - 39.265 million 2000 - 31.581 million - decrease 19.57%

Overall Population Growth
1993 - 259.278 million 2000 - 278.944 million - increase 7.58%

During the Clinton Administration poverty DECREASED 2.5 faster than the population grew.

Your assertion that the Bush Tax Cuts helped the poor is just WRONG. The percentage of people living under the poverty level increased faster during the Bush 43 Administration than under any two term presidential administration since they started keeping records on poverty in 1959.

The evidence is conclusive, the biggest benefactors of the Bush 43 Tax cuts are upper income Americans and corporations.

That's why they're insisting on yet more tax cuts for the top few percent knowing full well this will blow up the national debt.

How anyone can be dumb enough to fall for this same old song and dance is amazing but I guess some people will never learn.

Expect more of the same, right up to the 2012 elections.

Yep, they're going to continue to try bring America down just so they can blame it on Obama. I find it absolutely disgusting that Republicans are deliberately trying to harm the national interest for their own personal political gain but most Americans seem to stupid to understand what's going on.

Being stupid seems to be many Americans.....comfort level.
They'll rant-n'-rave about a Communist/Socialist take over, while the country turns into a North American banana republic?

Second, the amount of the tax increases are NOT going to force any of these people to starve. The economy did just fine thank you under the Clinton Administration with the same tax rates that are being proposed AND THE FEDERAL DEFICIT IS ALSO REDUCED.

Third, there is enough statistical information out there to totally refute the benefits of so-called "Trickle Down Economics". Tax cuts are like sugar highs. They do NOT sustain long term economic growth.
Yes, by asking a certain class of people to pay for others debts....and what does starving have to do with anything....it has to do with people not being deadbeets....and asking for a free ride. I am tired of people asking for money when they are not willing to part wih their own...

Tax cuts would be even better if now only te govt stopped spenindg...don't have the revenue, don't spend....

Frankly, in my business we are preparing for a new tax brought on us by Omama care 2% on revenue......we certainly are going to lay people off....more taxes, less jobs....

Now then, how do you explain ALL the legislation the democrats got passed? The Failed Stimulus, the disaster of obamacare, the financial reform bill....

You can't have it both ways, in fact, the GOP couldn't stop ANYTHING because the dems had a majority in the house and 60 in the Senate.

Can't blame the GOP because obama's policies have FAILED to do as promised.

Thats because you ignore one very important fact..

The definition of poverty changed over time and your equation ignores this..
From 1993 to 2000, the definition of poverty for a famiy of 4 increased from
$14,763 to $17,604 an increase of $2841
and from 2001 to 2008 this definition went from
$18,104 to $22,025 an increase of $3921

In that very same 8 years, people were doing so well under Bush that they had to increase the definition of poverty by over 30% more than under Clinton..

For individuals under Clinton, the poverty standards went from $7363 to $8791, a $1428 increase but this was $9039 to $10991 under Bush, total $1952, again a 20% increase in the standards of poverty under Bush. and btw, this total includes the economic collapse years, which makes clinton standards rather pathetic.

In addition, by your own account above, the population of the USA grew by 20M under Bush while poverty only increased by 7M. This means that 13M individuals were removed from poverty during the Bush years..

No one said the Clinton years werent good but when you have to increase the definition of poverty by 30% than the previous administration, I'd say thats positive.

On the contrary, the evidence that liberals twist facts and ignore ALL of the information and only look at part of it in order to try to make a point. This point might be accepted by those who read and take everything as fact, but those of us who like to look more into issues, we understand that part of the information is never all of it..

btw, the definition of poverty went DOWN this year, the first time that I know of.. And you celebrate how wonderful Obama is.. Please give us a break.. I want higher standards, not lower ones so stop using poverty as pawns to perpetuate your governmental crap which is making things worse..

Over the last 40 years the GOP has held Congress for EIGHT YEARS.. 4 of them are years you Democrats like to call "balanced budgets".. Talk to me about who's pissing on who because you guys havent come close to balancing a budget ONCE...

I ignored the rest of your postings because as usual, liberals ignore that CONGRESS writes bills to stimulate the economy, not the president, and the rest of it was simply tosd...
