Yes esp since NK attacked first and South Korea has a pretty dang good military that has been ready for 50 years to handle a situation just like that.
S.Korea Military Power - YouTube
They would not only face the full military force of South Korea but Japan would be there fighting along side SK it would be one massive show of force and the heavy air land and naval stikes on north Korea would have shock and awe tactics used to send a message to China also.
Who has "pushed NK to their limit?" This saber-rattling is all their own doing.
maybe the TV broke and that was it for kim il-sung as he wanted to play his X-box and that was it to push him over the edge..
J/K but a person in their mid-20's that had Kim jong-il as their dad and a some really weird military leaders in power that tell him what to do..means he should not have nuclear weapons at his finger tips..
We can't afford to lose the friendship and economic cooperation of S Korea. It's crazy to think we could just let them fall. I think we beef up our forces a little and park a warship or two nearby.

Why?
We put millions of $$ into their economy every year.
They just took back the base in Seoul.
Let them take care of themselves.
60 years is long enough to be in their country.
If South Korea or Japan Are attacked it is we have 50,000 troops in South korea at the DMZ and in fact the korean war never ended so we have been at war with North Korea for a long time.
