If you think that it is wise and prudent to disenfranchise the majority of men and women serving in the military please, be my guest, embarrass me.

I am part of a Tea Party and have never heard of Tea Party Nation so the only people he speaks for is himself. The idea of only property owners getting to vote is nuts.

I would be for supporting PROOF you are an American citizen to vote.

This is the typical "they don't vote the way I want so let's take away their right to vote" nonsense.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years."
Alexis de Tocqueville

^^^What about this is untrue all you big government Progressive posters? Is this not where we are now? Are you whining because the election of Tea Party candidates temporarily slowed the rate at which Dictatorship will be reached?

I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to this. It might be the incentive some require to succeed and become property owners.

Realistically, folks who don't own property are much less knowledgeable of what they are voting for/against, IMO.

Alternatively, test voters and certainly require proof of citizenship.
