I have my kids in private school. I support private education and could honestly care less what happens to the public schools for this same reason.
Good for you. I do too. But,
do you care what kind of world your kids grow up in and inherit. Or maybe you are a far leftist and think this is fine. But what happens when the winds shift and it is right wing indoctrination?
I am very right wing and proud of it! I do not have to worry about someone in my child's school being offended because we say "Merry Christmas" or want to have a bake sale. I do care about what type of world my kids inherit, but lets be real, we cannot control such things.
I can only make sure they receive a great education with people whom for the most part have the same values as me and raise their children with those values. Will everyone? No! Will my kids choose to associate later in life with people whom have the same vallues? I sure hope so!
I just read the link. Talk about a misleading thread title. I have read this book. I didn't much care for it. But to lift one sentence out of it and say that's what kids are reading about is disingenuous, AKA, lying.
Ah yes..but school days end and then everyone lives in the REAL WORLD with the majority coming from a public school education and they will have the upper hand in future policy making because they are the MAJORITY.

Let's just hope our kids inherit an America that is still recognizable!
I have this book. In fact, I have two copies of it and I have purchased many copies and given them to other people.
Of course, this phrase is used completely out of context. This is one of the best books I own and I have it located in my "books of high honor" book case.
I would advise everyone and I do mean EVERYONE to read it if you want a strong dose of reality. And if/when you read it you will see that the phrase used above was done so as an example of STUPIDITY rather than the beliefs of the author.
The media loves to take things out of context and use them for their own purposes, don't you know.
