A town near me got fed up with local politics and politicians once and elected a dog as mayor. Partially out of a sense of silly, partially because they didn't think a mayor actually did anything, partially out of frustration. Maybe we can do that.

Way too early for anyone to make bold pronouncements about the 2012 campaign.

At this point in 2006, almost everyone thought the 2008 election would be Guliani vs Hillary.

That is what I was thinking, that is the only Sanders I know. I was confused because he is fairly far left, being a Democratic Socialist. Not that I mind. I think he's a pretty cool guy . . . just rater unelectable.
