She seemed like an absolute sweetie....and was a pretty lady physically.
Wonder if John sped up her death with his actions (stress and sadness on her part)?
Probably realizes how much he loves her now....a little too late there Johnny boy.
Says something about her character that she still allowed him to be with her, during her final hours....

Obviously she was much closer to death than the media let on. I didn't expect this coming on the news yesterday that she had stopped treatments.
But she didn't. She wasn't broken hearted pining away for him. She lived out her truth right to the end and I'm proud of her. This thread should be evidence enough that people see clearly what a righteous woman and a good wife looks like. Now if only men can acknowledge for themselves what a good woman looks like we might not have the divorce rate that we have today.

She was humiliated? John humiliated himself. She stands tall in my eyes because she never lost sight of her worth. Bless her indeed. Whatever hateful old biddies pulling on levers of kangaroo court want to gossip about, nobody with any self respect wants their vote.

Very tragic. She's a woman I admire, one who earned my respect through the course of her battle with cancer and the torment she endured at being betrayed and shamed by John Edwards. May she rest in peace. She appeared to be a woman of class, dignity, grace, and strength. She deserved better than a guy who was willing to abandon and betray her in her time of need.

John Edwards, unfortunately, remains among us. You could go into the poorest, most crime-ridden and downtrodden areas of this country and not find anyone as pathetic as John Edwards. John Edwards a living symbol of the worst kind of man and human being.

Really sad.

Give her credit she was a fighter.

The scumbag ex of hers can rot in hell for what he did to her.

During this time people need support and of course he was not there for her.

I really feel for her kids as they know have to deal with a life without a decent parent around.

What's really sad is that miscreants come into this thread under the pretense of
expressing their condolences for Elizabeth's family only to then bash John Edwards
in the same thread, have you people no shame?
