how are you going to make up that lost money? By borrowing it from someplace like China...
maybe it's not spending, but it's at least borrowing.

The fact that government cant control their spending, doesnt make lowering income spending. Did you support raising taxes on the other 98% of americans? Obviously according to you, they are spending this $300B a year by allowing people to keep what they earned and therefore you think the 98% should have had their taxes raised as well right? Do you think those earning $10K a year should pay no taxes? Again, according to you allowing these people to earn without paying taxes is government spending, so clearly you think those in poverty should also be paying taxes. After all, them not contributing to the tax base is increasing federal borrowing right?

Why stop there.. Why not tax everyone at 100% then since obviously that would increase revenues and then the federal government wouldnt be "spending" anymore right?

Let me help you out here. If you get a pay cut at work is that spending? If the business you work for makes less revenue, is that spending? The answer to both is not. If the government takes in less revenue because of decreased taxes is that spending? I think you know the answer.

Mmmm their battle cry was right, Obama was/is going against the will of the people. Hence the crushing defeat. Their is only one poll that is accurate.

People didn't want the lying socialist to confiscate 1/6th of the US economy into Obamacare.

The class warfare against the most successful people will result in diminished returns.
The top 2% probably pay 80% of the payroll taxes now, so you want them to pay 90% of the taxes FOR YOU.

Man up and pay your own way.

Ask NOT what your country can do for you, but ask what YOU can do for your country.
Maybe getting rid of the socialism that is the cancer within the Capitalist Democratic Republic would be a good start.

Thou shall NOT covet thy neighbor's goods.

Margaret Thatcher said socialism always fails because they run quickly out of OTHER People's money.

The top 2% also have 40 to 50% of the $$ in the USA, while the other 98% don't.....so the other peoples money point I hear from cons all the time...baffles me...
they top 2% could care less about you....
Since they own 40 to 50% of the wealth already, I think they can sleep at peace at night, even if their taxes go up by OMG!....2%.

That money isn't LOST, it's simply not seen as income. You can't lose something you never had. They don't need to make up for anything, they just need to spend less or the same amount they bring in, why is this concept soooooooooooooooooo hard for some people to understand? It's clear to me now why so many people are broke and losing their homes, they run their homes like the gov.

The top percentage of americans have most of the wealth because they know how to invest tax free. Increasing their taxes to 100% wont decrease their wealth nor will it increase federal revenues..

Its not their fault the majority of americans would rather go out and buy a new tv, their video games, their iphones instead of putting money away to invest for the future, so its not their responsibility to bail out the incompetent who would rather have their toys over financial security..

If all they're going to do is save it, how will they be doing that....depositing it into a passbook savings account at their local bank. No, they invest it elsewhere like the stock market for example and some of those investments will be creating new jobs.

The HC bill took a year to get passed using back room deals behind closed doors, even though the dems had a huge majority in the house and for part of that time a filibuster proof senate. The bill is a time bomb waiting to explode long after Obama is out of office. It doesn't even start unti 2014 and then it's going to take a couple of years before all the higher claim costs the carriers will be paying out on, will start to really make rates skyrocket out of control. Even if he gets re-elected, he'll be out of office by then. You can't even begin to compare the oppostion the public has/had over the HC bill to this tax cut issue.

This poll was conducted by CBS using 990 people polled randomly by phone. There's no break down on what their political preferences are. The calls were nationwide but, that means nothing if most of the calls were to states that are known to vote democratic. The poll is also 3 months old....two months before the last elections.

BTW, why is it that the republicans held up the unemployment extensions by insisting that the tax cuts continue for all. Why isn't it that Obama held up the unemployment extension by insisting that the tax cuts only continue for those making less than 250,000 dollars anually.

Republicans love UI extensions like a Red Sox fan loves the Yankees....
it's was the Pugs that screwed or delayed UI extensions, previously, not Obama.
