I think so. When you think of the money she spent on her studio audiences vs that money that could have been donated to a charity in the United States, it seems gauche and not befitting someone like Oprah who wants to be the Queen of charity.
It is tacky. Some of the folks in the audence cannot afford to pay the taxes on her gifts (cars). It is the corporations who provide the product, not Oprah herself. Small things, nice. The larger giveaways, just too showy. Pretty bad that in the end years of her show she had to "buy" her audiences with the expectation of getting freebies.
She donates to many charities has her own foundation that she founded at least a decade ago.
And sporadically she plays santa on her show.
I'm sure that is all way more important than what you or I think.
Good for her. She makes people happy and helps people. If that's politically incorrect, then I'm all for it. We should all be so prosperous to be able to benefit others like that.

Yes. Seriously. Oprah has become wealthy in the United States. It would be nice to see her showcase some support for charities in the United States. She has become nothing more than a daytime TV game show host.

I am well aware of Oprah's Angel Network. Oprah is clueless to focus her energy on giving her studio audiences gifts they cannot afford to pay taxes on vs giving housing to the multitude of American families living on the street because this economy is in the toilet.
