Not good for Palin to take advantage of Baroness Thatcher when she is a very sick woman.
Trying to state that the invitation was actioned by the Baroness's staff when it was the Palin people pushing for afternoon tea with her.

Well the Baroness and Palin have one thing in common, they are both women but that is where it stops.
The baroness was very well educated as a research chemist and a Barrister, before she became a MP and to be blunt there is a huge class gap as well.

One difference, the Baroness was never frightened of being interviewed, Palin being interviewed by Paxman is like throwing the xtian to the lion, and no Paxman is no
xtian.

Here is a British MP not as good as Baroness Thatcher,
but making mincemeat of a Senate commitee.
Notice the diffference in ability with the English Language ?

Palin trying to handle Prime Ministers question time, well the thought gives we Commonwealth types reason
to roll with laughter.

She's pushy alright. Sorry to inflict her on the Baroness but we really needed a break from our village idiot. It helps if you're deaf and can turn your hearing aid down.

Tip of the hat to George Gallaway. America is very ill and the remedy is not quick enough.

I've always enjoyed the way the British House of Commons actually holds a true debate on their topics and issues. I do wish we had more style of debate here, with the content of bills actually known and debated prior to the vote rather than closed doors and voting/passing to find out what is in it.

It was rather silly of the OP to try to drag Palin into the thread while using a 5 yr. old video from the UN that has nothing to do with either her nor Thatcher.

Palin v Thatcher .... no comparison. Thatcher would have chewed her up and spat her out.

Galloway is a jerk, a womanizer that makes Clinton look like a choir boy, an unprincipled political opportunist and a thief. "Gorgeous George", as he is nicknamed, was the MP in the constituency where my mother lives and he did absolutely zero for the people he was supposed to represent. Ultimately, he was too much even for the Scottish Labour party and they managed to get rid of him. He is glib, articulate and has charisma. But that is where it stops. A thoroughly nasty excuse for a human being.

As she did with Reagan and I would not have fancied GwB's chances with her either.

A womanizer who is glib, articulate, and has charisma. I'm still trying to figure out what's wrong with any of that!!
