Say what you will this guy is the rock of our negotiating team for decades. The Fixer. He had a tear in his aorta yesterday and now after surgery is in critical condition.

Our team in Afghanistan has suffered a huge blow. Fate may have struck again. I pray for his speedy recovery.

Link? When I read about him being admitted yesterday they did not comment on diagnosis. Apparently he was actually meeting with Hillary at the time in re: to Afghan-Pakistan policy.
