I used to hate Walmart. They have destroyed this country, killing the small guy and fooling people into thinking that they are saving a ton of money. The one good point about them is that you can buy a car battery, loaf of bread, blender and pizza at 3:30 in the morning. I used to think that boycotting them would somehow help our country. However, I got to thinking that I would have to also to boycott every other store in this country. Almost everything comes from China now, so why would it matter if I bought it at Walmart or Kmart or Target? China is China is China. I will admit that I am disheartened, but what choice do I have? China owns us. Wait until they are goose stepping down Broadway in NYC one day.

This country is finished. When China realized we aren't going to pay them back, we'll go to war.
I'd just enjoy the now and shop where you please. Moralizing corporations relative to your day-to-day shopping choices is naive. Shop wherever is cheapest and most convenient for you.

It wasn't just that WALMART sells Chinese goods, it's that WALMART forced their suppliers to close up and move their facilities overseas leaving American Factories and jobs behind. If it were just their retailing I wouldn't care either

But what can the average American do? Not shop anywhere? Walmart was the trigger, but they all do it. We are screwed. Plain and simple. It will be "Red Dawn" soon, but it will be the different "Reds" and it won't be a movie.
Taken a look at brand new furniture these days. Had to research and look and look until i could find American Made, and yes it was more expensive. Every Furniture Store i visit, Even the more elaborate, Furniture Stores have furniture from China, if you know furniture, you don't even have to ask, you can tell. I like brands that state made in America. But yes they are hard to find. And much more expensive, but worth it to me.
it's so easy. just adopt more communist principles and shop locally grown and locally produced. start your own business and get others on the bandwagon. if enough people want to buy american, then they will.
What about small ticket items like a calculator or a reusable drink container? Most people don't have time to sit down and search out an American version. Big ticket items...yes. People will just run into Target and get the first one they can find. Usually made in China. Hell, do we even make any electronics here anymore? Not even sure I can find one made in Japan anymore.
Your federal government has sold our country to the Chinese.
Wouldn't that be "our"?
