Hawaii (Party of the Candidate to be precise) is responsible, by Law, to verify his eligibility.
In other States it is a matter of recording the verification that the Hawaii Democratic Party was supposed to have done which the document show that they legally have not.

An error, on a serious and short legal document?
I doubt it especially considering that the specific language required is a substantial percentage of the short document itself.
As well what was left out was the very purpose of the document itself.

It does also have to say the same thing "year after year", it is a specific written Law that requires that specific language.

Can't draw any definitive conclusion from it except that the Official Certification of Nomination presented by the Hawaiian Democratic Party (HDP) did not fulfill it's legal requirement in verifying that indeed he was "eligible under the U.S. Constitution to serve" (States wording of requirement).

I can clearly say that it was not "transparent".

When those that serve us are not open & forthcoming in a matter that directly affects us all it surely is something to look into as it is our duty & responsibility in which to do so.

As I touched on briefly before there are procedures and policies than can transpire by Hawaiian Election Law that make it possible for the Election Commissioner solely to end up placing a candidate on the Ballot circumventing (without) verification of eligibility.

That's a frightening proposition.
Considering the HDP did not fulfill it's part to verify legally Obama's eligibility, as evidenced by the OCON (Official Certification of Nomination) document presented by them, just how was he placed on the Ballot?

I'd like to know.

In case you want to review the Statute it is Hawaiian Revised Statute 11-113 (c)(1)(B) that specifically requires that this statement must explicitly state that each candidate is legally qualified to serve under the provisions of the United States Constitution in order for the Hawaiian Elections Commission and the Chief Elections Officer to be able to approve the candidate for ballot placement.
This is not what happened from the document presented to the Elections Commission.
