Some on the Left are so filled with hate for the woman they really don't realize the lengths and depths they will go to disparage her. Even demeaning an effort by her to call attention to the catastrophe in Haiti. There are some things more important to them than seeing the poorest of the poor get help.

I agree. Too many people just hate the woman for the hell of it. I'm indifferent towards her....no passion one way or the other. But i'll at least agree that she seems pleasant enough.

A sad truth today is that it seems impossible for any public figure to do anything ... without being pretty viciously attacked by one side or the other. The problem is much larger than S. Palin. I believe it keeps many otherwise qualified leaders OUT OF public service. We seem to wind-up with a bunch of squeaky-clean folks that have no real experience or idea about how to lead or solve problems. As Pogo once said, "We have met the enemy ... and it is us!"

Honestly, who cares what motivated Palin to go to Haiti? In my opinion, there are far bigger issues- my country is still in ruins, hundreds of thousands still live in tarp tents, a cholera epidemic has killed more than 2,000 people, the government tried to rig the election... we are being assaulted from the inside and the out and even nature isn't cutting us a break. Sarah Palin may not see eye to eye with a lot of us haitian americans but her visit bought Haiti some more precious time in the press, and we can only be grateful for that

Enthusiasm unbridled by intelligence is a turn-on for many.

They claim to be egalitarian, but if a woman or minority goes against the Party Line, then the hate is cut loose and sent forth.
