Ding ding ding, we have a winner!

This is it exactly.

Fervently religious Muslims don't want US military bases on what they consider holy land in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi royal family allowed us to build them there. The fundie Muslims don't like their royal family much for this, either. They also don't like it that we bomb other Muslim places that are acting in ways inconvenient to US business interests from that military base.

Go back to 1953, another prime example. Iran elects a democratic government. Unfortunately, that democratic government favors selling its oil to USSR over the US. Can't have that, so the CIA and the UK's equivalent overthrow the democratically-elected government and install Shah Reza Pahlavi, a dictator. Some Iranians like the Shah because they will make money with him in office. Some Iranians despise him. The ones that make it known that they despise him lose their businesses, are tortured, sometimes killed. They and their families blame the US for putting this guy in power over the ones they elected. Fast forward a few decades, the anti-Shah people overthrow him and install a theocracy. They still resent the US for what we did to their country and blame the US for brutalities suffered under the Shah. Imagine that.

The Kurds supported the US invasion of Iraq because of Saddam's actions against them. US comes to Iraq and saves the day. Fast forward again, 2007 - 2010. Both Turkey and Iran want the land in northern Iraq where the Kurds live. Turkey is our friend. Iran is not. So, the US military provides bombing coordinates to Turkey to help them get ahead, effectively aiding in bombing our former pals, the Kurds. Eh, they're nothing but shepherds and farmers anyway, right? Why do we care about them anymore now that Saddam is gone?

And some wonder why some Muslims hate us.

The Mossadegh Affair is one of the most shameful episodes in our history and we've been catching hell for it ever since. The Iranians will NEVER forgive us for it...especially the ones who had to live through the Shah's brutality.
People should keep their religion to themselves.

Otherwise, let's just install a Religious Pride Day, and all the religions can march down Main Street in alphabetical order.

Atheists, Buddhists, Calvinists, Catholics, Commies, EpicaPalins, Epicurians, Fascists, Grekkos, Hindus, Lutherns, Zionotics, etc.
ROFL. Best post on here.

As I will never forgive myself for misspelling "inconvenient" and not being able to correct it before you quoted me!

You can't! how can you teach Muslims Tolerance, when Americans don't even show tolerance of each other.

And Muslims, live in a different culture, believing differenly then what we think, and have a warped sense of a mindset.

Please do not add editorial content to my post that was not intended. I did not say terrorism was excusable.
