Appendix C, Question 81: 38.1% of marines have indicated they will either consider leaving the military or will definitely leave the military upon repeal of DADT.

So I wonder how many marines thought they better leave the military after the question that went like, "Are you a homosexual?" was removed from enlistment forms several decades ago? Many people back then were opposed to that little change.
It's the aberrant sexual gratification that's what is abhorrent.
Unfortunately, what is defined as aberrant and abhorrent is based on differing standards.
Some of those standards proscribe gratification by using the underaged, non-humans, or those under duress.
Like the fact that the vast majority of child sexual abusers and rapists are heterosexual? That the majority of men who rape men are heterosexual?
Okay... But what does this have to do with gay people?

What disadvantage does a homosexual couple have over a heterosexual couple who use contraception so that they WON'T "create progeny" every time they have sex?
Surely you don't think the majority of heterosexuals ONLY have sex when they want to conceive?
And what about the many heterosexuals who have oral or anal sex?
Percent of males and females 25-44 years of age who have ever had anal sex with an opposite sex partner:
Males: 40.0%
Females: 34.7%
Percent of males and females 25-44 years of age in 2002 who had ever had oral sex with an opposite-sex partner:
Males: 90.1%;
Females: 88.3%

What relevance does this have specifically to gays who serve, but not to heterosexuals who serve?
Your post doesn't make much sense.
There is no consistent logic at work when sexual harassment involves nothing more than a simple well intended compliment yet forcing heterosexuals to shower with homosexuals is in no way inappropriate. The Ministry of Truth could not have done a better job of distorting reality than this lame duck Congress.
But why, to you, is it a highly appropriate situation in which a soldier is treated like a hero for killing two men, but later kicked out for loving one? Where is the sound logic in the military doing something like that?
Nonsense. I doubt that half of half a percent will leave because of it, if any do at all. To go and do what? Aint gonna happen.
I still remember rumors about servicemembers opposed to Clinton because of his lack of military service who were supposed to leave en masse if he was elected. Instead, during the cutbacks during his presidency, most were BEGGING to hold on to their military careers and avoid the chopping block.
I heard the same tripe 2 years ago. Troops were gonna leave by the thousands if Obama was elected because they would NEVER serve under him. Yea, right. Never happened. Even with 2 stinkin' wars, the recruiters are working overtime. Not to mention the workloads of the retention NCO's.
My best guess is that white troops said the same things when the military was desegregated. Didn't happen then either.
Sorry, but there is no track record that suggests that this will EVER happen.
So when Bush is president it's a back door draft, but when we're talking about BO, those hoping to serve must take a number?
