Am curious, where does it say anything in the Constitution about Infrastructure or let's say an Air Force. I'm not disagreeing with you, but sometimes find it amazing how contradictory right wing "states rights" people seem to be when it comes to the founding documents. The things they like, for example an Air Force, is nowhere mentioned in the document or NASA, or just having this huge military. But god forbid they step in and pass a civil rights law based on the Commerce Clause or the Fourteenth Amendment.
Constructing post roads is as close as I can find in the Constitution to infrastructure; the state governments have always had that power though.

The Air Force isn't mentioned in the Constitution because airplanes were not invented yet when the document was created.

I know that. It's called "Implied Powers". If the Constitution provides for national defense, then creating an Air Force once plane flight was invented, is the use of an Implied Power. My point was that the Govt has implied powers in other areas besides defense.

Seems to me that many right wingers believe in implied powers for things they like and not for things they don't. Like Rand Paul and the Civil Rights Act.

Right. And the left does the same thing when it comes to guns.
Seems the GOP of today is moving right along with him. I voted Republican in the past. Not anymore. They moved right, while I stayed in the center.
