No one reads those bills word for word, Republicans or Democrats. Those things are a thousand pages each by the time all of the back-door deals are cut and the lawyers get through with it.

Some of us have higher expectations of our legislative body.

Maybe Kerry never read any of the UCMJ and thats why he followed orders to commit war crimes. Oh wait he changed that story. He only heard about alleged war crimes.
Kerry is an elitist snob and understands the needs of the common man about as well as Ted Kennedy did. In other words he thinks the needs of the common man is for him to be in office pretending to be one of us.

Someone is reading them because someone is writing them. That's who I'm interested in knowing more about. The American public have no idea who wrote the HC legislation. Well, some of us do. More need to know.

Where is the outrage of Kerry saying this?

Listen around 00:48.

RealClearPolitics - Video - John Kerry Complains About "Reading" Omnibus "Rather Than Working On It"

Then he calls the reading of the bill delay tactics?

Would someone please tell the left wing nut that they have had control of congress for 4 years and they knew the tax laws were going to change on Jan 1 if they did nothing.

Talk about delaying something important, the dems have delayed this for 4 years now.
Wasn't he the one who said he didn't read the bill when he voted to go to war in Iraq? I know Hillary Clinton said it. That's the new excuse for passing crap.

It's no surprise Kerry said this

After all he's just there as it's like an adult day care for Ms. Heinz. and it's to cold for the boat wherever it might be

The taxpayers pay too many people to serve the Congressmen as their "readers" and to tell them what is there for us to think that the Congress critter should do all his own reading. It is the number of pages of pork, union drivel, and other lawyer generated crap that keeps them from reading bills that are plopped down in their 18 inches of paper and aimed at a vote in two days that causes all those problems.

Of course, Dirty Harry and Nasty Nancy know that that form of crap works.
