This dj smokes it on air& thinks it is worse than weed and can't believe it is legal. I guess a few thousand teens have to die before they decide to get the FDA involved
"Worse than weed..." Worse than booze?

Well, considering that weed shouldn't be illegal in the first place, saliva's not that much worse in comparison to weed.

As long as booze continues to be legal, there isn't any argument for weed (and saliva) being illegal.

I like my wine and whiskey, but the fact that salvia is illegal (if it is), along with reefer and a myriad of other substances is absurd considering that alcohol use damages society (as well as leads to deaths) in rates INCOMPARABLE to salvia usage, or reefer, or shrooms. What's legal and what's not makes perfectly no sense to me whatsoever. If the infamous footage of Miley had shown her (or any other young female celebrity) wasted off their rocker on booze, it would have been a very disgusting and sad video. The Miley Cyrus footage is sort of shocking b/c of who she is, but also in part due to the fact that Salvia is not something that many folks know about- not exactly mainstream. I can't imagine the stuff people are now finding out about Salvia thru google now that Miley has brought the substance front and center stage. Is Terrence McKenna alive? Perhaps he could do a guest spot on some news station to educate us a bit on its properties.

I really don't claim to be an expert, but I think that the only way a few thousand (or even one) teen would die using Salvia is if they were mentally unstable in the 1st place. Same goes with weed. If you have a personality or mental disorder you really have no business even dabbling in substances - legal or illegal. Booze makes "sane" people act in very stupid ways very often. Salvia, not so much I am guessing. Perhaps some low grade silliness, but its like comparing apples and beef jerky.

There are some great videos on youtube of people smoking this stuff. Some people freak out, but it lasts what? Maybe 5 minutes? Let people smoke what they want.
