I agree about the theatrics, it really undermines the substance but I still watch because I just like Jesse, he is just cool and I love it when he corners a politician or official and makes them stammer, stutter, sweat and squirm like the spineless weasels they are. That part is great! Besides people, he cannot be the whack-job some that some on this thread are calling him because they carefully profile special forces/navy seal dudes - you can't run sensitive secret operations if you are recruiting mentally unstable simpletons. Don't let the absence of a slippery tongue have you under-estimate his intelligence either, show the man some respect.

By the way, IMO some of the theatrics are due to the network its produced for. That show isn't produced any differently than any of the other reality-type cop shows aired on that channel. I personal attribute the sensationalism to trying to market to the widest possible audience for the highest possible viewership.

I don't get to watch the show alot but I've viewed it several times. I think Ventura brings up some interesting points about certain topics. I try not to buy into too many conspiracy theories (I definitely don't consider myself to be a conspiracy theorist) but at the same time I do try to keep an open open mind when it comes to anything. I think for the benefit of mankind and for the survival of our own freedoms we should investigate everything and not blindly take in everything we're told by the government or authorities.

There is a big difference between being an open minded skeptic and being an obscurant or cynic with propaganda issues to defend. There is a huge difference between wanting to believe there was a conspiracy hence the term 'conspiracy theorist' and fully investigating several sides of an an issue and always being open minded enough to believe that anything is possible in this crazy world along with the willingness to be skeptical of your own position as well hence the term 'open minded skeptic'.

Discounting that engineers explained how the buildings failed,
in order to be a "truther," you would have to believe that an
army of people would be complicit in such an attack and that the
gubmint could keep such a secret. Even if such a thing could be
accomplished, can you imagine that this cast of thousands
would go along with an attack on their own country, murdering
their fellow Americans? If that isn't ridiculous enough,
they all kept quiet about it? Astonishing stupidity!
Where do you find thousands of people willing to murder
their fellow countrymen? Not one of them has had a
twinge of conscience since? No one has said a word?
How did this army of people plant thousands of pounds
of explosives at the precise place the planes hit?
Tell us how they ran miles of det cord unnoticed.
Explain why nobody had a clue this was going on.
Tell us how they recruited the people to plant
explosives in the World Trade Center.
Who were these people that would do such a thing?
Why has not a one of them leaked anything?
What did they do when they tried to recruit
someone that turned down the job, kill them?
Why blow em up anyway? Wasn’t crashing
airplanes into them enough?
